On Wednesday, June 25, 2025, we celebrated the festive opening of the renovated Nieuwenhoven Provincial park. It was a special moment for the province and its residents, a place where nature, education, and recreation come together. The renovated estate was presented as a versatile destination for families, schools, and nature lovers alike.

The day began with an interactive nature walk for schools, filled with educational and playful activities. Afterwards, the students enjoyed a drink and a freshly made pancake on the picnic lawn. At the same time, stakeholders and local residents were welcomed for the official opening ceremony, featuring a speech by the deputy.

In the afternoon, the focus shifted to local residents. They explored the renovated estate at their own pace during an engaging walk and took part in fringe activities that offered extra experiences and moments of wonder.

This opening day firmly placed the Nieuwenhoven Provincial park on the map as a forward-looking destination where nature, sustainability, and social connection go hand in hand. It was a warm celebration of nature, community, and discovery together.
