Informal meeting Genk (COMPET)

The informal meeting of the ministers for Competitiveness was organized in Genk on 8 and 9 February. During this two-day event, ministers and their delegations reflected on the future of the internal market and European industry. Conrad Consulting helped with the practical organization of this leading event. A reception, site visits and dinner in Labiomista were on the program on Thursday. The informal council took place on Friday at Thor Central in Genk.

There was a lot of national and international interest in this event. As a result, a major farmers' protest action was planned during the informal council. Thanks to good cooperation between Conrad Consulting, EWI agency, Limburg police zone, CARMA police, LRH police and the city services of Genk, this event went without incident.

During the press conference, European Commissioner Thierry Breton congratulated our EWI Department on the organization and content of the Informal Competitiveness Council:

“One of the best meetings, particularly good and interesting, in an extremely constructive state of mind.”
